Philippe Coutinho may play last Liverpool game TOMORROW… final farewell before Barcelona?

Bookmakers Paddy Power make it just 2/1 for Coutinho to never play for the Reds again following the Burnley clash.

It’s 3/1 for him to say goodbye after the Everton match while it’s just 11/10 for the Manchester City game on January 14 to be his last.

Coutinho signed a five-year deal at the start of 2017 and has scored six goals in his past seven games for Liverpool.

But Express Sport understand Barcelona will this week try to finally seal a British record £125million deal for Coutinho – although they may have to wait until in the summer.

The Spanish giants will try to finalise the details to sign the Liverpool star on Wednesday.

Coutinho agreed personal terms with Barca last summer but Liverpool’s owners The Fenway Group rejected all bids.

But it now seems they will get their man, once the clubs have agreed on how the deal will be structured.

Liverpool want a large upfront payment with less of the fee dependent on add-ons as Barca suggested in the summer.

Coutinho, 25, made it clear in August that he wanted to quit Anfield for the Nou Camp but Liverpool held on to their prize asset.

The Reds have just spent a world-record £75million on defender Virgil van Dijk – prompting speculation they were already spending the Coutinho money.

That’s despite Jurgen Klopp saying he does not have to sell to recoup those funds.

Spanish expert Guillem Balague tweeted this morning: “On Coutinho. There has been no meetings with Barcelona, FCB have put no new offer (yet), LFC have put no price to him, there was no promise from LFC to him to sell him now, LFC are not forced to sell, but…

“As there has been no new offer from FCB yet, we don’t know what LFC’s final stand. But they seem more ambiguous. “Nothing is forever… there’s always a solution” (Klopp). Are they planning to agree something for the summer? Open to huge offer? Things clearer when FCB sends offer

“FCB want Griezmann and Coutinho, but can they pay for both? Not as it stands. They need to sell around eight players between now and the summer to reduce the huge wage bill (over 80% of income) and have transfer money available.”
