North Korea celebrate Kim Jong-un’s most powerful missile launch with POSTAGE STAMP

The images show the launch of the Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile which North Korea insists is capable of destroying Washington DC in a nuclear blast.

The missile test at the end of last month was greeted by rapacious celebrations from Kim Jong-un and the Pyongyang elite and has now be immortalised in the in the mail marker.

Following the launch Kim Jong-un said: “Now we have finally realised the great historic cause of completing the state nuclear force.”

One of the stamps shows the missile on its custom-made launch vehicle while another has it pictured in orbit around Earth.

Another entry in the commemorative collection shows Kim Jong-un smiling as he views the launch from monitors inside a control room.

Missiles and military achievements have appeared on stamps in North Korea on several occasions.

The stamp made to mark the successful launch of the newest rockets predecessor also shows a map of the entire Korean peninsula, including South Korea coloured red beneath an image of a missile and a celebrating Kim.

The stamps have been revealed as the dictator announced North Korea’s determination to make no changes to its nuclear policy in 2018 despite international pressure and sanctions.

Pyongyang propaganda outlet KCNA made the announcement in a report titled “No Force Can Prevail over Independence and Justice”.

The chilling report said: ”The DPRK, an undeniable new strategic state and nuclear power, declares: Do not expect any change in its policy.”

The state-run outlet said: “On February 12 the DPRK successfully test-fired the new type strategic weapon system Pukguksong-2, ground-to-ground intermediate-range strategic ballistic rocket.

“On Nov. 29, the DPRK succeeded in the test-fire of new type ICBM Hwasong-15 reflecting its tremendous might as a world-class military power.

“The US persistent moves against the DPRK in political, economic, military, diplomatic and all other fields till the end of this year could not stop even a moment the advance of the DPRK confident in the victory of its cause.

“The DPRK, as a responsible nuclear weapons state, will lead the trend of history to the only road of independence and justice, weathering all tempests on this planet.”

News of North Korea’s announcement has come despite experts claimed that the hermit kingdom’s ruler may seek to launch a peace offensive toward the US as sanctions will likely begin to hit the regime hard in the new year.
