Nate Diaz casts doubt over trilogy fight with Conor McGregor

Nate Diaz has revealed he’s unsure if a rubber match with Conor McGregor will come to fruition.

“Time will tell. I don’t know right now,” Diaz said during an appearance on the . “There’s talk. 

“They (the UFC) call me, we talk about things, but I think what’s happening is they want me to ask, and beg, and I don’t need nothing from nobody. I don’t need nothing from anybody.”

American Kickboxing Academy head coach Javier Mendez has insisted that Khabib Nurmagomedov was on course to make weight for his UFC 209 bout with Tony Ferguson before.

“It wasn’t like he wasn’t going to make weight or he was going to have a tough time making weight,” . “It’s just that his body failed him. 

It’s like anything. It wasn’t a struggle, he wasn’t going through a struggle. His body just failed. 

“It’s just like when someone is getting ready for a fight and they get kidney stones. It didn’t mean that they couldn’t fight, it’s just that their body failed them. And that’s what happened here.”

Jimmie Rivera slams Marlon Moraes

men’s bantamweight title contender Jimmie Rivera has claimed Marlon Moraes declined a 145lbs bout with at UFC 219.

“I accept the fight with @MMARLONMORAES and even give him two pound allowance at 138lb #merrychristmas #ufc219,” Rivera tweeted on Christmas Day.

Later on during the day, he added: “Sorry to my fans, friends and family. @MMARLONMORAES said no to the 10 pounds. Those were his terms, I agreed, and then he withdrew the offer.”
