Did Meghan Markle steal Kate Middleton’s style for her first public outing with the Queen?

Meghan Markle, 36, wore a beige coat with a large round brown hat, brown boots and a brown handbag.

She smiled as she appeared on Christmas Day with her fiance Prince Harry, 33, and the rest of his family.

However, some eagle-eyed fans noticed that Meghan may have taken some inspiration from Kate Middleton, 35, when it came to her outfit.

The Suits actress wore an outfit that cost over £10,000 on the day, with a hat by Philip Treacy and boots by Stuart Weitzman. She also added the £1,055 Chloe Pixie bag in leather a suede.

The LA-born actress’s coat was also eye-wateringly expensive, and cost almost £1000.

The coat from Canadian company Sentaler retails at £986. The Long Wide Collar Warp Coat is described by the brand as a “long wrap coat in luxurious baby alpaca.”

Kate Middleton has also worn a coat from the brand, in September 2016.

Both coats sold out shortly after the women associated with the royal family wore them.

Kate’s coat is also made from alpaca and wool, and costs slightly less than Meghan’s at £758.

The coats have now been named after Kate and Meghan by the designer.

However, its not a coincidence both women have worn the coat. The designer is loved by various women around the world who hold notable positions due to their husbands.

Justin Trudeau’s wife Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau has worn the coat in November 2015.

Meghan Markle herself is an acquaintance of the Canadian Prime Minister and  leader of the Liberal Party Justin Trudeau.

She posed in a Vanity Fair photoshoot, that featured the actress alongside Emma Watson, Cher, Jérôme Jarre, Natalia Vodianova, President Mary Robinson, Nobel Laureates Kofi Annan and Muhammad Yunus, and Justin Trudeau.

The actress also posted an image of herself chatting away with Justin on her Instagram page.

Prince Harry opened up today about Meghan Markle’s Christmas with the royal family.

Prince Harry appeared on Radio 4’s Today programme today. The 33-year-old is currently taking a guest editor role at the morning radio show.
