Alexis Sanchez, Sergio Aguero or Mauro Icardi: Real Madrid make transfer decision

Real Madrid could splash the cash when the transfer window reopens in January with Los Blancos’ season teetering on the brink.

Zinedine Zidane’s side slipped to a humiliating 3-0 home defeat to Barcelona in El Clasico last week.

That means they sit 14 points behind their Catalan counterparts at the top of the table, with the La Liga title looking out of reach.

Real Madrid could sign a striker to relieve some of the pressure on Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, who have struggled in front of goal.

And Spanish website Diario Madridista say the Spanish giants have made a decision on moves for Icardi, Sanchez and Aguero.

It is said they have prioritised Inter star Icardi over the two Premier League hitmen.

Aguero’s future at Manchester City beyond the current season is in doubt with Pep Guardiola often preferring Gabriel Jesus.

Sanchez, meanwhile, is wanted by a host of clubs with his Arsenal contract expiring at the end of the season.

Yet despite Aguero and Sanchez being more easy to obtain, Los Blancos want Icardi.

It is said they have selected the Argentine from a list where Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kasper Dolberg’s names also sit.

Aubameyang was expected to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer and could quit the Westfalenstadion next month.

Dolberg, however, is billed as one of Ajax’s brightest prospects for the future and the Dutch side would no doubt do everything to keep their teenage sensation.
