Antonio Conte’s next role

08:30: Antonio Conte wants the Real Madrid job – and is liked by the club’s head honcho Florentino Perez.

Conte is facing an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge.

Conte could be off at the end of the season, and the Bernabeu may be his next port of call, according to Transfer Window podcast guest Ian McGarry.

He said on the latest edition: “I think he (Conte) wants the Real Madrid job.

“The last thing Florentino Perez wants to do is sack an icon of his famous club.”

Cristiano Ronaldo blame

07:45: Cristiano Ronaldo has blamed Florentino Perez for Real Madrid’s defeat to Barcelona.

According to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Ronaldo has pointed the finger squarely at the club president for Real’s shambolic season.

The Portuguese superstar is reportedly adamant that Alvaro Morata, James Rodriguez and Pepe – who all left Real in the summer – have not been adequately replaced.

However, speaking after the clash, Zidane said the buck stops with him.

“I take responsibility,” he said.

Mohamed Salah monitored

07:00: Mohamed Salah has revealed his inspiration to join Liverpool – silverware.

The Egyptian winger has been sensational since returning to England.

He joined Liverpool on a club-record deal worth £39m – and he’s been worth every penny.

Salah has already been linked with a move away from Liverpool with Real Madrid keen.

Zinedine Zidane has publicly admitted his admiration for the former Roma star.

But Salah appears happy at Anfield for now while playing for Jurgen Klopp’s high-flyers.
