PlayStation Plus January 2018 free games news LEAK, new GTA 5 Online update

A new PlayStation Plus January 2018 leak has arrived, ahead of the official Sony announcement.

While fans are expecting PS Plus news to drop later this week, it appears that someone might have let the cat out the bag a little early.

Another PlayStation Plus leak has surfaced this week, revealing an image of what could be the upcoming lineup for January, 2018.

The picture allegedly is a screenshot of a Facebook advert that was accidentally posted showing the upcoming PlayStation Plus free PS4 games before being taken down.

This wouldn’t be the first advert to leak the official PS Plus lineup early, there’s been a few times in the past that this has happened, only to be proven right a few days later.

If the leak is accurate, then Batman: The Telltale Series and Deus Ex Mankind Divided will be the headliners for the PS Plus January 2018 line-up.

The picture also shows That’s You still being a bonus title for PlayStation Plus members.

That would certainly be a strong way to kick off the new year, especially considering that both PS4 games are relatively new.

And while it’s impossible to authenticate the new image, it should be noted that PlayStation have a track record of including Telltale Games in their PS Plus line-ups.

Last July Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series was added to the PS Plus selection of free PS4 games.

That came just a few months after another Telltale title, the first season of Tales from the Borderlands, was included in the PS Plus April 2017 line-up.

The new PS Plus line-ups are usually revealed on the last Wednesday of each month, with the games going live the following Tuesday.

So, if past trends are correct, Express.co.uk are expecting the PS Plus January 2018 line-up reveal on Wednesday December 27 2017.

This will be followed by the new PlayStation Plus free games becoming available to download on Tuesday January 2 2018.

Rockstar have released the latest GTA 5 Online on PS4, which includes a festive twist.

There’s a couple of new items to check out, and bonuses to claim, as part of the most recent multiplayer launch.

To celebrate the holidays in GTA Online, this year’s Festive Surprise include a number of holiday-themed unlocks beginning now until January 5th.

Starting today, Krampus masks gifts will also be available to players, while two new vehicles have also been launched.

The Ubermacht Sentinel Classic and the Benefactor Streiter vehicle can be found in-game, along with a brand new snowfall.

There’s also a very special available to those who manage to logon Christmas Day, with Rockstar confirming a free Albany Hermes Muscle Car can be earned.

There’s also a new GTA Online Adversary Mode to take part in, named Occupy.

“A high-stakes capture the flag for up to 16 players, Occupy requires at least one member of the team to hold a zone long enough for it to activate their team color – the more zones a team holds, the faster they’ll gain points,” Rockstar explains.

“The first team to hit the target score wins the round, with a bevy of weaponry and vehicles strewn around the map for teams to put to deadly use.”

Occupy will also be delivering Double GTA$ & RP through January 8th.
