PlayStation Plus January 2018: Here’s when free PS4 games will be announced, predictions

PlayStation Plus subscribers are counting down the days until the January 2018 batch of free games are revealed.

And fortunately there’s not long to wait, because Sony is expected to make the PS Plus announcement on Wednesday, December 27 at around 4.30pm.

The PS Plus January 2018 games lineup will be available to download a week later on January 2.

There’s no word on what will headline the January 2018 PS Plus lineup, although games often leak before the big announcement.

This happened in December, when a leak revealed that Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition and Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of the Legendary Legends were coming to PS4.

Disappointed PlayStation Plus members will be hoping the January 2018 lineup is better.

Perhaps it will contain one of the predicted games featured in the gallery below…

The news comes as Sony announces its Christmas sale, which is made up of more than 500 games and DLC.

High profile new releases like Star Wars Battlefront 2, Assassin’s Creed Origins and FIFA 18 are all available at discounted prices.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is down to just £29.99, which represents a 50% saving. FIFA 18 is available at the same price, while Assassin’s Creed Origins costs £36.99.

PS4 owners can also make big savings on the likes of Persona 5, Call of Duty WW2 and GTA 5.

And remember, with the next batch of PS Plus games about to be announced, you have less than two weeks to pick up the following PlayStation Plus releases…

  • Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition (PS4)
  • Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of the Legendary Legends (PS4)
  • Until Dawn: Rush of Blood (PS Plus bonus – PS VR Required)
  • That’s You! (PS Plus bonus – PlayLink)
