Melania Trump spotted HERE – are Donald Trump and family shunning a White House Christmas?

Melania Trump, 47, has been busy preparing The White House for Christmas, putting up a selection of decorations, including a candy themed room.

But this week she has been reported to be at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, a property owned by her husband Donald Trump, 71.

Barron Trump, 11, was seen at the sunny resort, leading to speculation the Trump family will not be spending their festive holiday in Washington.

A reporter for the Palm Beach Daily News was at Mar-a-Lago to attend a World Affairs Council lecture, and the reporter apparently saw Trump’s youngest son.

An events director for the resort then confirmed to the newspaper Melania was also already there too.

The White House has not revealed Trump’s official plans for the festive holiday, but many assumed he and his family would celebrate their first Christmas as the First Family by hosting it there.

Melania had previously given some insight into how the Trump family spend the day during a charity event she attended last week.

She told children at the Children’s National hospital in Washington DC how the family celebrate Christmas.

The First Lady revealed the Trump Family enjoy dinner on Christmas Eve.

They then visit midnight Mass or a service on Christmas Day.

She then explained what the family eat on the big day, and despite the holidays centring around food for most families, it is not the main focus for the Trumps.

She said the family eats “healthy food”, adding: “You feel very good after. Not too much eating.”

Of course the family have their presents, and Melania said: “On the 25th, Santa comes. We open the presents and spend time together.”

Melania was asked what she would ask Santa for, to which she replied: “I asked Santa for Christmas, uh, peace on the world, health, love and kindness.”

However it seems it has never been her dream to spend Christmas Day in The White House, as when asked where should be on the day if she could be anywhere in the world, she replied: “I would spend my holidays on a deserted island, tropical island with my family.”
