Speaking with Mr Porter while promoting his new movie Downsizing, the Bond villain seemed to think the move would be ridiculous.
Waltz said: “Why? Because [Italian feminist writer] Oriana Fallaci said so?
“Come on. Have your own movie if you want. Why does it have to be James Bond?
“What would be her first name? Jemima? My answer is decidedly not.”
Waltz has also revealed he won’t be returning as Blofeld in Bond 25.
The star told Italian channel Talky Movie: “No, I’m sorry. I’m really sad, but that’s the tradition, that there is a new (actor)… Sorry. I would’ve liked to.”
James Bond 25 will be released in UK cinemas in November 2019.
