Star Wars 8: Did you spot these NINE MISTAKES in The Last Jedi? WHERE did Luke’s hand go?

The movie has received acclaim from critics, with a 93% approval aggregate on Rotten Tomatoes.

However, the corresponding audience score is a shocking 55%.

Fans has voiced tier extreme unhappiness with many of the revelations and surprises, especially concerning Luke, rey and Snoke.

There are also some glaring continuity and factual mistakes in the movie. Did you spot these nine?

1. Luke’s hand

When Luke’s body disappears into the Force at the dramatic ending, his robe floats away into the air. There’s no sign of his metallic hand, which should fall to the ground but instead disappears with the rest of him.

If that’s what happens to clothes and objects that are on his person when his physical form fades away, why not the robe?

2. Red or white?

During teh final battle scene on Crait, the big cannon blast to open the gate causes the ground turns red as the salt is blown clear, revealing the coloured clay underneath. But when Luke strolls out to start his fight with Kylo, it’s all mysteriously white again.

Of course, this could just be another part of Luke’s illusion, liek his darker hair and beard.

3. That opening moment on Ahch-To

We waited so long, to see what happened next. Rey steps forwards to hand over Luke’s lightsaber, then takes a couple of steps back. The shot cuts and they’re suddenly much further apart. In fact, numerous momenst on Ahch-To are riddled with coninuity errors.

4. That ridiculous space chase scene

Let’s ignore for a moment that ludicrous idea that The entire First Order fleet could not catch one rickety old ship. The Resistance ships are flying in front of the First Order Destroyers, and slow down when they run out of fuel. But there’s no friction in space, and they’re already at maximum speed trying to escape, so they should keep moving forwards at the same speed whether they’ve got fuel or not.

REBUTTAL: One fan has explained this, saying: “If the engines were active then the ships were constantly accelerating. Once the fuel runs out the ships stop accelerating, at which point the First Order ships (which are also constantly accelerating) would be able to catch up and destroy them.”

It still doesn’t explain why the First Order wasn’t fast enough, or didn’t send ships to jump slightly ahead and then turn and face the Raddus.

5. Maz is up to her old tricks

Poe and Finn contact Maz – she is in some kind of shootout which we see from different angles through the holographic projection. Problem is, who’s filming her from different angles but invisible from all the other opposing angles? Also why ae they left of the grpund filming her as she flies off? It makes no sense.

6. Pack it in, Finn

When Finn is going to an escape pod on the Raddus to run away and find Rey, he puts his pack down in front of it. This is shown again in a later shot. When Rose realises he’s trying to run away, however, his pack has magically moved itself inside the pod. Another hint that Finn is a secret Jedi or just a bad continuity error?

7, 8 and 9. Someone really should check all Rey’s scenes more carefully

When Rey meets Luke for the first time, the sun changes between shots.

While Rey is practising with the pole and the lightsaber, the sun changes between shots.

Towards the end, Leia is talking to Rey in the hanger. In a shot facing Leia she looks down, then we cut to Rey and Leia, seen in profile, is instantly looking up, straight ahead.
