Donald Trump health fears after he drinks water with two hands like a child

The US President took a particularly awkward swig of water from a glass he produced from his presidential lectern, holding on with both hands as he tilted the cup towards his mouth.

The footage came just days after he slurred his words during his speech on the US policy on Israel sparking fears for his health.

And it is not the first time this has happened – in November, the president picked up a bottle of Fiji water with both hands during a press conference at the White House.

Twitter went into meltdown over the clip, recorded on Monday as the 71-year-old unveiled this new national security strategy in front of military service members.

Quick to play doctor, many raised concerns his strange movements could be evidence of a degenerative disorder such as dementia.

Sandra F Woodward wrote that “holds that water glass like my 3 year old grandson holds his cup! I really think Trump has dementia and is reverting 2 childhood action.”

Barbara Jones wrote: “Anyone considered A. Loss of strength, B. Impaired range of motion, or C. Compensating for tremors?”

Tom Joseph added: “With today’s speech, anyone can clearly see Trump’s crumbling health.

“Slurring, sippy cup-style water drinking, involuntary jerks & restricted eye movements on display – part of his dozen+ symptoms of Frontotemporal Dementia.

“It’s degenerative, highly progressive & worsening every week.”

Some were baffled as to why Mr Trump needed two hands to drink from the tumbler, but others joked about his “tiny hands” – with one calling him “President sippy cup”.

Sharing a photo of former President Barack Obama drinking water, one Twitter used said: “A real President drinks water with confidence. Trump on the other hand drinks like 4 year old from a sippy cup.”

Another tweeted: “Things I’ve learned today: trump can’t drink from a cup of water.”

While one person said: “It’s excruciating to watch Don ‘Tiny Hands’ Trump struggle to manage a drink of water.”

Earlier this month, speculation went wild after the US President appeared to slur his words during a speech in which he officially recognised Jerusalem as the capital city of Israel.

Mr Trump seemed to struggle pronouncing ‘s’ sounds towards the end of his speech.

At the end of the announcement, he said: “Thank you. God blesh you. God blesh the Israelis. God blesh the Palestinians and God blesh the United Shtates.”

Last year Dr Harold Bernstein wrote a letter saying Mr Trump would be “the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency”.

The doctor more recently said the then 70 year old Republican presidential nominee weighs 16.9 stones (107.32kg) – which is overweight, and nearly obese, for his 6ft3ins height, according to official BMI tables in America.

The controversial businessman takes statins for his cholesteral and a low dosage of aspirin, while echo cardiograms have come back with normal results, the doctor said.

Dr Bernstein’s summary of Mr Trump’s latest annual physical exam also revealed he last had a colonoscopy in 2013, which showed normal results.
