S Club 7 REUNION and 2018 world tour CONFIRMED – But not every band member is returning

They were one of the biggest bands of the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits like Reach, Bring It All Back and Don’t Stop Movin’ taking the world by storm.

Having had a brief reunion in 2014-15, fans were wondering if they’d be back again, and now they are, but only as a trio this time.

S Club 7 is now SC3 with Jo O’Meara, Tina Barrett and Bradley Macintosh releasing the band’s first single in 14 years, called Family.

According The Sun’s source, the rebrand as SC3 is to avoid problems with the other four bandmates.

The insider said: “Family was originally pitched for all seven of them to sing on their Bring It All Back reunion tour in 2015, when they toyed with the idea of releasing new tunes.

“But it was Paul who decided he didn’t want to continue, and the other members didn’t want to release music without the whole band.

“With S Club 3 now putting out the song, it could cause friction.

“Paul has made it clear he doesn’t want the group’s legacy damaged which is why they have decided to rebrand to just be SC3.”

Family is written by Simon Ellis, who also helmed Don’t Stop Movin’ and Never Had A Dream Come True.

The other four members of S Club 7, Rachel Stevens, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee and Hannah Spearritt have yet to comment on the new single or the trio going ahead a SC3.

Family is out now.
