PS4 games shock as Sony scores new exclusive bonus over Xbox One and Nintendo Switch

Sony’s had a good year of PS4 games exclusives, with the likes of Horizon Zero Dawn, Crash Bandicoot and Gravity Rush 2 providing players with something different.

And fans can also expect one more little PS4 games bonus this year, albeit, not a fully fledged title.

It has now been confirmed that Monster Hunter World will be getting a second beta on the PlayStation 4.

Fans have already got to play some of the first chapters of the game earlier this month, something that wasn’t available to Xbox One or Nintendo Switch owners.

And now it’s been revealed that Monster Hunter World will be returning for another short run, this time without the need for a PS Plus subscription.

Players who didn’t participate in the first beta test will be able to pre-load on December 18, it has been confirmed.

It’s a great little gift to those fans who missed the first run, with the second beta set to launch on December 22.

Times for launch have been confirmed for 9 AM PT, 12 PM ET, 5 PM GMT, and 4 AM AET on December 23.

Capcom have also confirmed those that played the PS Plus Beta last weekend will be able use the same client to play this one.

It should also be noted that if you still have the first Beta client, you can keep it and jump straight back in.

Capcom have not revealed whether there will be new content offered, or if this is a further stress-test, as they will be allowing all PS4 players to jump in.

The original Capcom trial featured three different quests, which can be played in single and multiplayer.

Quests included ‘Great Devourer, Great Jagras’ in the Ancient Forest, ‘Wildspire Rampage’ in the Wildspire Waste and ‘The Ancient Forest Menace’, which also takes place in the Ancient Forest.

Players could choose from six different presets for male and female hunters, as well as six presets for Palico helpers.

It also supported voice and text chat, plus there’s a Training Area to test out the 14 different weapon types.

“A new world awaits you, where a living, breathing ecosystem of flora and fauna is the setting for pulse-pounding battles against fearsome creatures using an arsenal of powerful weapons,” reads a Sony blog post.

“The beta features three quests set across two different maps: the dense, verdant foliage of the Ancient Forest and the arid sands of the Wildspire Waste.

“Track your prey across each of these unique landscapes, using the very environment itself to your advantage. Each quest features a different monster for you to try your hand at hunting, but you don’t have to go it alone: up to four players can team up online in co-operative multiplayer.”

The three quests are separated into Beginner, Intermediate and Expert.
