Ronaldo scored the winner for Real in their Club World Cup final against Gremio yesterday with an incredible free-kick.
It means Real have now won the competition a joint-record three times, level with rivals Barcelona.
But their focus will swiftly switch back to La Liga action next week when they face Barcelona on Saturday (12pm).
Real can ill afford to drop points against their rivals having fallen eight points behind them in the league.
Zinedine Zidane’s side won their first La Liga title for five years last season, as well as lifting the Champions League.
And Ronaldo is hoping to see the Barcelona players line up in a guard of honour at the Bernabeu next week.
“It would be nice and I would like Barcelona to make for us the guard of honour,” Ronaldo said.
“I hope we can beat Barça so that the League is alive.
“We have to enjoy every moment because we do not know what can happen tomorrow.
“We are gaining confidence and we are going to improve and finish very well.”
However, Real president Florentino Perez isn’t bothered if Barcelona do.
“If there isn’t, it won’t devalue our title, I see great morale in the players, it’s been very good ahead of Saturday’s game,” Perez said.
