Tiger Woods’ caddie Joe LaCava reveals shocking bad temper of former world champion

LaCava has been Woods’ caddie since 2011 and has seen many ups and downs over the years.

But there is one moment that sticks in his mind that came away from the limelight, in a private match between the two of them.

The pair were playing H.O.R.S.E in a basketball shootaround. The loser is whoever collects all the letters first.

LaCava explains how he beat Woods in nine consecutive times – and he was then was not allowed to eat tea with the former world number one and was forced to order a takeaway.

“I beat him nine games in a row,” LaCava told SXM PGA Tour Radio.

“This is a true story, nine games in a row.

“He did not talk to me the rest of the day.

“I didn’t even get the old text, ‘Dinner is ready,’ because I stay across at the beach house.

“I didn’t even get that text that night so I had to get take-out.”

LaCava went on to explain how even he never saw that coming.

“He didn’t even announce it,” LaCava added.

“He is so competitive, even with something like that.

“The thing with him is that if I missed a shot, which I missed plenty of shots, he’d go back down to three.”

Woods made his comeback at the Hero World Challenge last month and thoroughly impressed, leading to some pundits tipping him to win a Major next year.
