Crossplay between Sony’s PS4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One would have come in pretty handy this weekend.
That’s because both PS Plus December and Games with Gold subscribers are going to get access to a brand new trial.
Both rival subscription services have been offering little freebies aways from their usual Xbox One and PS4 free games offering.
And December will see yet another rollout very soon.
The Game Awards Best Fighting Game of 2017 is coming to both consoles, and will be free to download if you have a Gold, Or PS Plus, subscription.
Starting Thursday, December 14 at 12:01 a.m. PT to Sunday, December 18 at 11:59 p.m. PT, you can play the first three story chapters of Injustice 2 on PS4 and Xbox One.
In addition to the three story chapters, all multiplayer and online modes will be active for players to battle it out online.
It should be noted that while all base characters will be available to play online, this will not include those available only through DLC.
However, players will have the opportunity to try select DLC characters in the single player Multiverse mode.
Injustice 2 will also be discounted during the Free Trial period at participating retailers.
Injustice 2 will be 50% off on the Microsoft Store. All earned achievements and saved progress will be there for you should you return to the game later.
For a limited time, PS Plus members can also grab the Smite PlayStation Plus Pack for free, Sony has confirmed.
The bundle includes 31 Skins, 20 Gods and Voice Packs, plus the Khepri Announcer Pack for the free-to-play title.
The bundle is available now and players will have the chance to pick it up until January 9, 2018.
“Players choose from a diverse cast of deities and use their unique powers to triumph over the opposition in 5v5 team matches,” the official game description explains.
“SMITE is a new take on the MOBA genre rather than observing from above the action, the game’s third person perspective puts players into the thick of combat.”
There’s also another PS Plus free game fans can download until the PlayStation Store refresh next month.
PlayStation VR exclusive Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is available now through January 2 for PlayStation Plus members in the UK, U.S., Canada and Latin America.
There’s also Sony’s PlayLink title That’s You! Still up for grabs, although that has been available as a free download for sometime.
