Christmas Number 1 2017: Strictly Come Dancing stars join Michael Ball and Alfie Boe choir

The two singers have assembled a huge collection of famous faces for a new recording of Bring Me Sunshine, recorded and released in aid of Rays Of Sunshine – who will receive 100% of Decca Records’ profits.

In the mix are a handful of Strictly Come Dancing favourites, including last year’s winner Ore Oduba and shock elimination victim from this season, Aston Merrygold.

Shirley Ballas, the new Head Judge, can also be seen in the large choir.

Elsewhere are Miranda Hart, Gareth Malone, Mel Giedroyc, Angela Rippon, Gregory Porter and more.

Even Miranda Hart and Kelsey Grammer submitted contributions to the song, along with some very talented young singers.

Ball and Boe’s Bring Me Sunshine features on their recent album Together Again, which has sold over 100,000 copies in just three weeks.

Its release tomorrow, December 15, makes it a contender for Christmas No1, which tracks all sales and streams from midnight tonight until 23:59 next Thursday.

Ed Sheehan is the overwhelming favourite; currently at the summit with Perfect.

That said, bookies’ odds on Adele pulling off the feat have been massively shortened overnight, with rumours that she is set to release a cover of George Michael’s Fastlove.

Rak-Su, Mariah Carey and Wham! are also thought to be contenders.

Bring Me Sunshine by Michael Ball and Alfie Boe with the Rays of Sunshine Children’s Choir and Friends is out tomorrow, December 15. It can be ordered by texting GET SUNSHINE to 84222, with texts costing £1 plus a standard rate message.
