The star is expected to appear in the upcoming Marvel double-bill as Pepper Potts, after making a brief cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming earlier this year.
With Avengers 4 currently in production, and Infinity War presumably working through reshoots, Paltrow has been seen via her Instagram story wearing what looks like a motion-capture suit.
So does this mean she will suit-up once again?
Back in 2009’s Iron Man 3, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) put Pepper in a suit to protect her, and she then saved him from his own house collapsing.
Paltrow has generally taken a step back from Hollywood acting in recent years, but did speak in an interview earlier in the year about the amount of fun she was having with her Marvel co-stars once again.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “I went to Atlanta to do Avengers 4, so I’m in and out for that, and it’s weird to go back and forth.
“We’re growing fast, and balls are dropping all the time. But honestly, I was on set and thought, ‘You sit here for two hours sipping tea, Robert Downey Jr. and Don Cheadle are making me laugh hysterically – why the hell did I give this up?’”
The first trailer for Infinity War was released last month to a hugely enthusiastic response from fans.
But with Avengers 4 not out until 2019, don’t expect to see any signs of that at least until Infinity War is out next spring.
The likes of Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth and many more are also back in the line-up.
