Nintendo Switch has performed better than anybody could have expected, as Nintendo increases its annual sales forecasts to a whopping 14 million.
To put that into context, that’s more than the Wii U sold in its entire lifetime.
And it’s no surprise when you look at some of the incredible games Nintendo has released so far this year.
The launch lineup may have been lean, but it did include game of the year contender The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
And if Zelda doesn’t win game of the year, it will only be because the magnificent Super Mario Odyssey is marginally better.
Then there are third-party blockbusters like Doom, not to mention addictive indie classics like Stardew Valley.

And it looks like 2018 could be an even better year for the Nintendo Switch.
It was recently revealed that the original Bayonetta and its sequel Bayonetta 2 are coming to Switch next year.
This new bundle will be available on Nintendo Switch from February 16.
And that’s not all, because Bayonetta 3 is also coming to Nintendo Switch at a later date.
Capcom, meanwhile, has announced plans to release Mega Man 11 on Nintendo Switch next year.
Likewise, Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 are being released on Nintendo Switch in Spring 2018.
The Nintendo Switch will also host Bridge Constructor Portal, which is a spinoff of the popular Valve games.
