Fortnite Servers DOWN: Epic confirm PS4 and Xbox One issues – Failed to Join Party problem

While there have been ongoing issues today with Xbox Live connections going down, it appears something else maybe affecting Fornite servers.

A recent message from Epic Games confirms server problems but does not mention the recent Xbox Live outages.

“Looks like we are seeing problems with players being able to connect to games and friends,” a message from Epic Games explains.

“We’re looking into this now! We will continue to keep you posted on all the latest updates.

“We’ve been having intermittent problems all day and had previously thought they were solved. Making sure we communicate everything clearly with you all.”

This problem has also surfaced while players wait for their stats to be backlogged, with other issues affecting players being unable to join parties.

The stats process began around an hour ago, although it’s unclear if this has something to do with the latest server issues.

“Stats are now being backlogged. They are still being saved, you just won’t see them. We will backfill all stats in the near future,” Epic confirms.

Epic have told fans in the past that weekends are a time when the game sees large amounts of PS4 and Xbox One players, meaning that this could have something to do with today’s problems.

“Failed to join party – The party is currently not responding to join requests. please try again later,” is one of the current error message facing fans trying to play the game.
