Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino makes Gareth Bale transfer revelation

And the Spurs boss has admitted he is open to the prospect of the Real Madrid star making a stunning return to Tottenham.

Bale is nearing the Real exit door and he is set to be made available for a transfer next summer.

Manchester United have held a long-term interest in the Welshman and have attempted to snap him up on numerous occasions.

But they could have a fight on their hands with Pochettino refusing to dampen the chances of Bale rejoining ahead of the club’s return to White Hart Lane next year.

Pochettino said: “Of course he’s a fantastic player. He keeps contact with all the people here that worked here in the past.”

Spurs sold Bale to Real for £85million in September 2013 and they would have to fight both United and City to bring him back to the Premier League.

Bale’s form and fitness has nosedived in the last year, sparking talk that his four years stay in Spain is coming to an end.

The 28-year-old will miss Real Madrid’s league clash against Sevilla as he continues his recovery from a calf muscle injury.
