Lallana back and Ings in goal but no Coutinho as Liverpool train ahead of Everton clash

Lallana has missed Liverpool’s last three games after picking up a knock on his return from injury as a substitute against Chelsea last month.

The 29-year-old had been out of action since the start of the season with a thigh injury, and the setback was yet another blow after several frustrating months.

manager Jurgen Klopp will be delighted to see Lallana back on the training pitch at Melwood, although the German is unlikely to risk his star man against Everton after such a long rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, there was no sign of Philippe Coutinho or Alberto Moreno as the Reds were put through their paces earlier today.

Moreno picked up an ankle injury against Spartak Moscow and may not feature again until the new year, but Coutinho’s absence is a mystery.

The Brazilian is in fine form after a hat-trick in midweek and three assists against Brighton, so Klopp will be loath to lose him for such a crucial clash this weekend.

Elsewhere, striker Danny Ings showed he is useful at the other end of the pitch with some impressive goalkeeping skills – although Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius shouldn’t be worried just yet…
