Avengers Infinity War star auditions for Star Wars: WATCH brilliant tape

Stan – who plays Bucky in the Marvel movies – has often been compared to Luke Skywalker icon Mark Hamill, with fans pointing out that the two could be son and father.

Now, as part of an interview with MTV, Stan was tasked for trying out for the role of “young Luke Skywalker” to prove their similarities.

The result left Stan struggling to keep a straight face.

“There’s nothing for me here now, I wanna learn the ways of the Force and become a Jedi, like my father,” he declares.

“I am a Jedi, like my father before me.”

Both stars have huge movies on the horizon: Stan is preparing to see the release of Avengers: Infinity War next spring, and Avengers 4 thereafter.

The movie’s first trailer achieved millions upon millions of views when it debuted last week, giving fans their first proper glimpse at what is to come.

Hamill, meanwhile, will be seen in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the eighth entry in the main saga, when it releases next week.

Arriving in a veil of secrecy, the film reunites him with Daisy Ridley (Rey) and the late Carrie Fisher (General Leia).

It was speculated earlier this week that Johnson let slip that the Skywalker siblings will reunite in the new movie.

Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi is out on December 14 in the UK. Avengers: Infinity War follows on April 27 next year.
