Chelsea news: Alvaro Morata wants Real Madrid return with Antonio Conte – report

Morata left Real Madrid for Chelsea back in the summer, turning down a move to Manchester United in favour of joining the Blues instead.

Since his departure he has hit 10 goals from 20 games, successfully filling the void left by Diego Costa’s summer move to La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.

However, talk is already intensifying that Chelsea hitman Morata could return to Los Blancos for a third stint at one point in the future.

And Spanish outlet Diario Gol claims the 25-year-old is hopeful of returning to the Bernabeu if Conte were to get the job.

Real have been poor since they decided to sell Morata back in the summer.

Current forward Karim Benzema has struggled for consistency, while Cristiano Ronaldo has hit just two La Liga goals all season.

With their top players misfiring, Los Blancos are well off the pace and currently sit eight points behind Barcelona in the league table.

As a result, the pressure has increased on Zinedine Zidane with Conte being touted as a potential successor.

And Diario Gol say Morata is confident of sealing a stunning return to Madrid if his Chelsea boss were to be given the job.

In October, the Blues hitman revealed Conte played a pivotal role in luring him to the Premier League.

”I came here because there was a coach like Antonio Conte,” Morata told Gazetta dello Sport.

“We started talking about my eventual transfer last spring and I finally came to London.

“I’m in debt with Conte. He had taken me for Juve and then left for Italy. When I knew he wanted me, I didn’t think twice.”
