Star Wars shock: This ‘CRUEL’ Luke Skywalker scene HORRIFIED Mark Hamill ‘I’m STILL angry’

Excitement is starting to ramp up as The Last Jedi approaches at light speed.

The movie will hit cinemas in just over two weeks and teh starst have embarked on a huge interview campaign across print and television.

Mark Hamill, of course, has never needed an excuse to share naughty teases on social media and the cheeky chap has been up to his old tricks.

He already spoke out over his initial concerns at the direction in which Rian Johnson was taking Episode 8, but now he has revealed the one Star Wars scene that he still can’t forgive and forget.

Surprisingly, may fans have not been impressed with the star’s latest declaration. Normally Hamill never fails to charm everyone, but this time accusations of hypocricy are being thrown at the franchise legend.

It’s all over an iconic scene from The Empire Strikes Back where Luke brutally wounds a big fluffy white creature. What the Wampa is going on?

The famous moment starts with Luke hanging upside down in an ice cave, rather like a leg of ham in a larder but it all goes horribly wrong from there…

As the big scary wampa approaches for his snack, the Jedi summons his lightsaber, cuts himself down and takes a big swing.

Hamill insists he never meant to hurt the creature and was very upset when the finished version showed a blood-soaked arm fly across the cave.

He tweeted: “When filming the scene I was assured my lightsaber swipe toward camera (creature not on set) would simply singe fur to scare him off. Horrified to later see amputation and unnecessary cruelty. Wampa was HUNGRY (not EVIL) Luke would never do this! #StillAngry2017.”

Fan, however, have been quick to point out that Luke happily boasted of shooting critters back on Tattooine, let alone the catastropic death toll of the destroyed Death Star, which was estimated to have over one million people on board.

One said: “If Luke wouldn’t hurt the wampas because they’re not evil, are we to conclude the womp rats he shot at on Tatooine were?”

Another replied:”Isn’t killing small animals one of the signs of a serial killer?”

A third added: “How is it any different than Luke killing the Rancor?”
