Meghan Markle, 36, and Prince Harry, 33, are engaged to be married, it has been revealed.
At 10am this morning Clarence House made the announcement on their Twitter account.
It read: “His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle.
“The wedding will take place in Spring 2018. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.”

Meghan Markle had been with film producer for a whopping seven years before the pair finally tied the knot on 10 September 2011, just five months after Kate Middleton married Prince William.
The pair had a four day long wedding extravaganza when they tied knot, with 102 gusts in Jamaica.
The couple were married at the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios, Jamaica – a county Meghan visited recently with Harry to attend one of his friend’s weddings.
Meghan wore a white strapless down with a low cut detail on the front.
Sadly, the couple split not long after the wedding in May 2013 and quickly sealed the deal – divorcing in August that year.
Trevor is originally from New York and is eight years Prince Harry’s senior at 41-years-old.
The Hollywood film producer is best known for his film Remember Me, starring Robert Pattinson – a drama focusing on the 9/11 tragedy.
The couple cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their speedy split.
There were rumours that Trevor would be making a television programme about a divorced couple where the husband is left for a British prince, the Daily Star reported.
The Royal Family twitter account stated: “The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted for the couple and wish them every happiness.”
Kensington Palace tweeted on behalf of Kate Middleton and Prince William: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said of the engagement: ‘We are very excited for Harry and Meghan. It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.’”
Meghan’s parents also issued a statement from Meghan’s parents, Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland. They said: “We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry. Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us parents.
“We wish them a lifetime of happiness and are very excited for their future together.”
Trevor Engelson has not commented on news of Meghan and Harry’s engagement so far and does not seem to have social media such as Twitter.
