Real Madrid news: Neymar demands Cristiano Ronaldo EXIT before agreeing transfer

Neymar has emerged as a shock target for Real Madrid in recent weeks amid reports he is unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazil international joined the French club in the summer for a stunning £200million but is reportedly not settled in the Parc des Princes.

There are claims the player’s father and Real president Florentino Perez are in discussions via an intermediary, agent Wagner Ribeiro, about his future.

And according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Neymar has made one huge demand before going ahead with the move – he wants Cristiano Ronaldo gone.

The report says he wants the Portugal international moved on before he can commit to a long-term contract at the Bernabeu.

Having just got out of the shadow of Lionel Messi at Barcelona, he is reportedly not prepared to suffer the same fate with Ronaldo.

However, he could be waiting some time before Real opt to part company with the talismanic 32-year-old.

He is under contract in the Spanish capital until June 2021, having agreed a new deal with the club last November.

Speaking about Neymar’s shock departure from Barca to PSG, Lionel Messi has claimed this week they are better off in some ways without the Brazilian.

Neymar’s departure has caused the way we play to change. We lost a great deal of offensive potential but it favoured us in a defensive sense,” he said.

“Currently we are most well-armed in the middle of the field.

“We have more balance and that makes us stronger defensively.”
