Bali volcano WATCH LIVE: Mount Agung eruption latest – LIVE WEBCAM & SEISMOGRAPH

The Mount Agung eruption sent a massive gas cloud 4,000m into the sky after it erupted again.

After months of seismic activity, the Bali volcano erupted with local residents being warned to stay out of the danger zone.

A “red warning” has been issued to airlines whose planes fly close to the .

Watch live Mount Agung webcam footage as the volcano continues to spew huge amounts of smoke into the atmosphere, leaving residents’ lives at risk.

Live seismograph also reveals earthquakes rumbling across the region with magma rising to the surface.

The National Board for Disaster Management said: “Continuous ash puffs are sometimes accompanied by explosive eruptions accompanied by a weak sound of boom.

“The rays of fire are increasingly observed at night. This indicated the potential for a larger eruption is imminent.”

Experts have warned the next Mount Agung eruption could be “even bigger” than the previous ones over the last few days.

Bali Disaster Management Agency has warned the Bali volcano could explode more violently in the coming days and weeks.

Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said: “There is a high possibility of an eruption that could be bigger than before.

“A few signs indicate that activity will continue and that yesterday there were a few explosive eruptions.”

Professor David Rothery, a volcanologist at the Open University, has warned that gas trapped within Mount Agung could cause a huge explosion and pyroclastic flows if it cannot escape.

Speaking to Sky News, he said: “It’s a matter of whether that gas can escape passively, just by bubbling through the magma and cracks in the volcano, or whether it builds up to such a volume of gas that it blows out explosively and drives a very high column of fragmented ash into the sky.

“A big heavy column being driven upwards can then collapse down and produce these horrible pyroclastic flows which sweep across the terrain.”
