Avengers Infinity War: Marvel boss CONFIRMS another 20 movies after Avengers 4

In 2019, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 3 will come to an end with Avengers 4.

The 22nd film in the franchise will also mark the end of Saga 1, before a new age begins kicked off by a sequel to Spider-Man Homecoming.

Now in a new interview with Vanity Fair, which includes , Marvel boss Feige has spoken out on the future after Avengers 4.

It turns out Disney has at least another 20 years of Marvel material to explore in the movies, having the rights to 7000 characters from the comics.

Disney CEO Bob Iger said: “We’re looking for worlds that are completely separate—geographically or in time—from the worlds that we’ve already visited.”

While Feige revealed: “[Marvel is] 22 movies in, and we’ve got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that’s come before—intentionally.

“[Avengers 4 will] bring things you’ve never seen in superhero films: a finale.

“There will be two distinct periods. Everything before Avengers 4 and everything after. I know it will not be in ways people are expecting.”

With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 due to help set up this new era of Marvel movies, we can only guess it’s both literally and figuratively going to be out of this world.

Avengers Infinity War will be released in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018 and will be followed by Avengers 4 on April 2019.
