Mel Gibson SLAMS Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg for improv comedy ‘They left me behind’

The 61-year-old has taken a break from directing his epics, most recently seen with 2016’s Hacksaw Ridge, for a light Christmas comedy.

Gibson has joined Ferrell and Wahlberg for a follow up to their 2015 hit, Daddy’s Home, playing the latter’s father.

However during the press tour for the new movie, the actor revealed he really struggled with his co-stars improvised comedy – something he compared to Chinese ping pong players.

Speaking with New! magazine, he said: “I was lost. They left me behind.”

The actor said: “I was asked in my 20s but I just didn’t want to do it.”

Some fans on social media struggled with Gibson’s appearance on the show, following past incidents involving racist and anti-Semitic criticisms and alleged domestic violence against his former girlfriend.
