Kate Middleton baby name revealed? Duchess of Cambridge could call her third child THIS

Kate Middleton, 35, and Prince William, 35, are expecting their third child in April 2018.

As per tradition, the couple have not revealed the sex of the baby and will not share their choice of name until it is born.

Prince George, 4, has the full name George Alexander Louis, while Princess Charlotte, 2, is called Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

But there may now be a new clue as to what the couple will name their third child.

The most popular baby names for 2018 for both boys and girls have been predicted by Babygaga.

And there is one name on the list for girls with distinctly royal history – Victoria.

This has been predicted to be one of the top names for girls next year, and Kate and William could certainly be considering it.

The British royal family tends to choose from a small pool of names for their children.

The Queen’s full name is Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, while Queen Victoria was called Alexandrina Victoria.

If the baby is a boy, there are several options to choose from. George is popular with royalty, and was chosen by the couple for their first born son.

Edward is the next most popular choice historically, however it is not on the list of predicted popular names for boys for next year.

Alexander is on the list, and could be a potential choice, being the male version of Queen Victoria’s first given name, and Queen Elizabeth’s middle name.

Neither of these names took the top spot for most popular predicted names for 2018.

Babygaga based their predictions on chosen names of the last few years and emerging trends.

They believe Emma will be the most popular name for girls in 2018. Finn has taken the top spot for boys for 2018.

And there were a selection of more unusual names on the list for both boys and girls – although Kate and William are likely to stick to tradition when naming their children.
