The latest Warner Bros movie in the DCEU just can’t seem to escape endless controversies.
The latest comes fresh on the heels of Zack Snyder ‘s own son blasting the changes made by the studio and Joss Whedon.
Now some fans are convinced that Whedon planted a secret message on screen which reveals his real feelings about the troubled project.
This follows fan fury after Whedon liked a series of tweets which criticised Steppenwolf as a poor villain. Many fans are convinced the director has no loyalty or respect for their beloved franchise.

At the start of the movie, a homeless man is shown holding up a sign with a very particular message. At exactly that moment, the opening credits also show the name of Joss Whedon, who is credited as co-screenwriter (but not director).
The site said: “As you can imagine, many believe this was a message of sorts from Whedon suggesting he tried (and failed) to save the movie.”

However it seems unlikely that he would actually engineer the placing of his name next to a sign saying “I tried.”
Whether or not he is privately amused at the way it turned out is another matter…
