James Bond: M origin story revealed in CONFIRMED solo outing for 007 boss

In two years time Daniel Craig will return as James Bond 007 for a fifth and final outing.

Among other rumours earlier this year are apparent plans for a shared cinematic universe in the style of Marvel and DC.

While nothing has been announced, it looks like one Bond spin-off will be happening in another format.

MI6 boss M, will be getting his own one-shot comic from Dynamite Entertainment.

Written by Deadpool vs. Old Man Logan’s Declan Shalvey, the new 40-page comic will cover M’s time as field agent like Bond.

The official synopsis reads: “James Bond’s superior, code-named M, scrambles MI6’s secret agents across the globe.

“Sometimes, he knowingly sends them to their deaths, for the greater good.

“But a traumatic event from M’s early days in the field returns to haunt him, forcing M to return to Belfast, the scene of a crime… HIS crime.”

James Bond: M follows previous spin-offs produced by Dynamite Entertainment including one focused on CIA agent Felix Leiter.

Presumably this M will be the one seen in previous comics called Miles Messervy, as opposed to Ralph Fiennes current incarnation, Gareth Mallory, in the movies.

James Bond 25 will be released in UK cinemas in early November 2019.
