The hype machine that is Tesla has an unbelievable following, evidenced by the Model 3 launch earlier this year.

Close to half a million before they had even seen it and fans are still flocking to buy it.

Semi is the first vehicle launched since the and is the company’s first foray into other vehicle markets.

The event is taking place in Hawthorne, California and is scheduled to begin at 8PM PT.

Brits who want to watch the show will have to get up early and tune-in at 04:00am on the 17th November.

The live stream will likely take place via Tesla’s website.

Its social media channels such as Facebook will also likely have a live stream.

Ahead of the debut the car manufacturer has added a new product page for the Semi.

What we know about the truck so far is that it will have a range of around 300 miles.

It was supposed to be launched in October but int was delayed due to issues with the Model 3.

Company CEO Elon Musk tweeted at the time saying: “Tesla Semi unveil now Nov 16.

“Diverting resources to fix Model 3 bottlenecks & increase battery production for Puerto Rico & other affected areas.”

Previously, Musk had described the new truck as a ‘beast’ and ‘unreal.’

Musk also revealed that more about the Tesla Semi’s range and capacity saying: “It is a heavy duty, long range, semi-truck.

“So it has the highest weight capability and with long range.

“So essentially it’s meant to alleviate the heavy duty trucking loads.

“And this is something which people do not, today, think is possible.

“They think the truck doesn’t have enough power or it doesn’t have enough range.

“And then with those with the Tesla semi we want to show that no, an electric truck actually can out-torque any diesel semi and if you had a tug-of-war competition, the Tesla Semi what will tug the diesel Semi uphill.”

Earlier this year Elon Musk also teased that there would be something else revealed at the Semi launch event.

In a shareholders meeting in June, Elon Musk, said: “I really recommend showing up for the semi truck unveiling – maybe there’s a little more than what we are saying here.”
