Justice League SHOCK: ‘Jake Gyllenhaal in talks to REPLACE Ben Affleck as Batman’

DC’s answer to the Avengers is released today, but is Affleck already hanging up his cape as the Dark Knight?

Just yesterday a rumour was mounting in that

The news came from director and film critic John Campea on his YouTube show, who has now revealed that it’s Gyllenhaal who is in the pipeline.

Screen Rant reports the actor has already had a meeting with Reeves about potentially taking on the role.

Gyllenhaal may come as a surprise to some movie fans, but the actor did audition for Bruce Wayne when Christopher Nolan was casting for Batman Begins back in 2004.

Nevertheless he may now have a shot and certainly has that bulky, tall, dark and handsome look that usually comes when casting the part.

However is Affleck really done? Justice League producer Charles Roven claims that the actor still hopes to star in Reeves’ Batman solo movie.

Speaking with CBM, Roven said: “I’m not producing that movie, Matt Reeves is working on that, but I do work with Ben, so I know that he’s certainly planning on starring in that film.

“But I don’t know what the script is. I’m not producing that movie, so I’m probably the wrong guy to ask.”

Earlier this week the Batman star hinted that he will quit the franchise at some point. Could it have anything to with the constant stream of bad reviews?

He said: “You don’t do it forever so I want to find a graceful and cool way to segue out of it.”
