Amazon launches new Echo Show in the UK TODAY – Release, price and features REVEALED

all-new Echo Show is now available to buy in the UK.

This smart device has been available in America for a while and features the ability to not only hear content but also view it via an in-built display.

Like the award-winning Amazon Echo, the Show is powered by Amazon’s Alexa personal assistant with users simply asking for tasks to be performed.

However, due to its screen, the Show can now provide an added dimension with song lyrics, album artwork, videos and news reports all available to view.

Along with content, Echo Show also introduces Alexa calling and messaging – a totally new way to be together with your friends and family.

Just ask Alexa to call a family member and you’ll be connected via video to their Echo Show or Alexa app.

Customers can also use Echo Show to see a live camera feed from the nursery or your front door, or to control smart home devices from brands like Ring, Arlo, Philips Hue, Hive, TP-Link, Netatmo, WeMo, Smart Things, and Tado.

Echo Show is available from today in the UK and arrives in black or white with a cost £199.99.

Amazon is also offering anyone who buys two of these new devices the chance to get £100 off.

Express.co.uk is currently testing the new Echo Show and will bring you a full review soon.

Although Echo Show is now on sale there is a device that won’t arrive in the UK until 2018.

Amazon’s new Echo Spot was announced at a major launch event earlier this year and is like a miniature version of the Echo Show.

This device includes a small display which can show content such as video flash briefings, music lyrics and weather forecasts.

Plus it can make calls to any friends and family who have an Echo Spot, Echo Show, or the Alexa App.

It’s currently only available in the US where it costs $129 – there’s no official UK launch date.

Along with the Echo Show UK launch, Amazon has just announced

The US retail giant is offering a price for the Echo of just £69.99 – making it one of the best early deals so far.

This offer is available now and is likely to run until the official sales begin later next week.

It’s not just the Echo that’s getting an early deal as the Echo Dot has also been reduced to £34.99.

This mini device can add voice-control to your home stereo system or existing speakers.

Along with these early deals going live today Amazon has also announced that it’s cutting the cost Fire Kids Edition tablets.

The Fire 7 and 8 will both see discounts over £30 from this Friday.
