Star Wars 8 The Last Jedi SHOCK: Does THIS prove Snoke is Emperor Palpatine REBORN?

WARNING SPOILERS FOR STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT 2 AHEAD

It’s one of the biggest questions since the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens two years ago – just who is Supreme Leader Snoke?

One of the first and most simple theories that has all but been forgotten from early on is that he’s a resurrected Emperor Palpatine in the vein of Lord Voldemort’s return in Harry Potter.

Such a reveal might make some Star Wars fans sigh loudly in cinemas, but it would tie-in well with the whole nine episode-spanning Skywalker saga.

Now new information from Star Wars Battlefront 2, a video game released on Friday that connects with the canonical films’ narrative, has teased something called Project Resurrection.

Project Resurrection is brought up in the final scene of the game’s main campaign, which is set just before the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Now it turns out the storyline will continue with three more “Resurrection” chapters, to be released as DLC the day before The Last Jedi is released in cinemas.

According to the description the main playable character will stumble across a First Order conspiracy.

Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh reckons Project Resurrection has something to do with the big machine connected to Snoke’s throne on The Supremacy.

Maybe it’s not healing him of wounds, him – a new body for a supposedly dead character who has been…resurrected?

While Darth Vader was redeemed at the end of Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and became Anakin Skywalker’s Force ghost, the Emperor was killed by the former Sith Lord.

However could Palpatine have survived in some form and is now growing a new body as Snoke through Project Resurrection?

Let’s not forget Snoke’s LEGO figure also comes with a Palpatine hologram, so there’s definitely some sort of connection between the two big baddies.

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
