Black Friday 2017: Amazon reveals first major deal ahead of official sales

has just announced its first big .

The main Amazon sales begin this Friday but, from today, customers can grab an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription for just 99p.

The usual price for this service is £7.99 for Amazon Prime members and £9.99 for non Prime users.

The offer lasts for three months with the price then increasing to back to the usual monthly plan.

First launched on 14 November 2016, Amazon Music Unlimited is an on-demand music service that allows users to access 40 million songs and thousands of hand-curated playlists.

The service is available via Alexa-powered smart devices as well as on Android and Apple smartphones and tablets.

Although this is a great offer the big sales actually get underway at midnight on Friday with hundreds of products expected to be slashed in price.

The Amazon Black Friday Deals Store will then remain open until 11.59pm on Sunday November 26.

During this busy shopping period, the online retail giant will be offering ‘Deals of the Day’.

You will be able to get money off a range of products such as Amazon devices, electronics and pet supplies as well as kitchen and home & garden items.

Amazon will also offer thousands of ‘Lightning Deals’ – these are available at a discount, in limited quantities, for a short period of time.

The Amazon Lightning Deals for Black Friday 2017 will be introduced throughout the sale with new deals available as often as every five minutes.

During Black Friday last year, some of the most popular deals on Amazon were offers for the Fire TV Stick and Amazon Echo Dot.

Speaking about Black Friday 2017, Doug Gurr – the Country Manager for Amazon.co.uk – said: “Customers tell us they love getting extra low prices so they can save on their Christmas shopping.

“This year we have hundreds of small businesses from our Marketplace offering great deals on their unique and creative products, making it even easier to find perfect gifts with our Black Friday sale.

“We’re making Black Friday more fun than ever by holding our first ever Home of Black Friday pop up in Central London and have just released our TV advert which features our iconic boxes having a sing-a-long to celebrate the festive season.”

When is Black Friday?

Black Friday, which takes place on the day after Thanksgiving, falls on November 24 this year.

Many deals will appear online as soon as the clock strikes midnight, while a majority of UK’s high street retailers will open at 6am.

The shopping bonanza will last all weekend, and is followed by Black Friday’s online equivalent Cyber Monday on November 27.
