SHOCK North Korea warning: Kim Jong-un ‘will use’ nuclear weapons & could spark US war

has ramped up their threats towards the United States with President Trump currently in Asia.

Cory Gardner, a United States Senator, has criticised using “strategic patience” against the rogue state and Kim Jong-un.

During an interview with On Assignment with Richard Engel on MSNBC, the Republican warned about the dangers of the hermit kingdom, with fears a war could trigger

Mr Gardner said: “If your kids are around the table and they are throwing food around at each other, do you just sit back and say ‘I’m going to strategically wait until they stop’.

“What we get with patience is a nuclear programme in North Korea.

“What we got with patience is a launching of ballistic missiles.

“If people believe they can trust , he said he would use his weapons, I believe him.”

The comments come as the US President has taunted the brutal doctor, branding Kim Jong-un as “short and fat”.

President took to Twitter to mock the leader of the hermit kingdom after he was labelled as “lunatic old man”.

Mr Trump tweeted: “Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me “old,” when I would NEVER call him “short and fat?” Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend – and maybe someday that will happen!”

North Korea’s state media agency KCNA, accused Mr Trump of escalating tensions between the two countries, adding “no-one can predict when the lunatic old man of the White House, lost to sense, will start a nuclear war”.

KCNA said: “The world is undergoing unprecedented throes because of Trump, a notorious ‘political heretic’.

“The US must oust the lunatic old man from power and withdraw the hostile policy towards the DPRK at once in order to get rid of the abyss of doom.

“The US had better make a decisive choice…if it does not want a horrible nuclear disaster and tragic doom.”

The huge threats come as President Trump is coming to the end of his monumental East Asia tour.

The US President has travelled to Japan, South Korea, China and Vietnam and is set to travel to the Philippines, in a bid to present a united front against Kim Jong-un.

President Trump also met with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his trip, as he tried to improve relations between the countries.

The billionaire tweeted: “When will all the haters and fools out there realise that having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing.”

“There always playing politics – bad for our country. I want to solve North Korea, Syria, Ukraine, terrorism, and Russia can greatly help!”
