Black Friday 2017 – Amazon, Argos, Currys and Tesco to launch deals for sales

is just a few weeks away, and already a number of big name retailers have slashed prices ahead of the pre-Christmas sales.

Argos, Currys and Tesco have all cut prices ahead of Black Friday 2017 – while Amazon will begin their sales a week early.

The Black Friday sales first started in America, and takes place on the day after Thanksgiving – which this year falls on November 24.

Many deals will appear online as soon as the clock strikes midnight, while the majority of UK’s high street retailers will open at 6am.

The shopping bonanza will last all weekend, and is followed by Black Friday’s online equivalent Cyber Monday on November 27.

But you don’t need to wait until Black Friday and Cyber Monday to pick up a bargain though.

Amazon, Argos, Currys, Tesco and Tesco are all offering money-saving deals ahead of the busy sales day.

Express.co.uk has rounded up all you need to know about the deals on offer right now, and what sales to look out for during Black Friday 2017.

BLACK FRIDAY 2017 –

Amazon UK will open their Black Friday Deals Store at midnight on Friday November 17, and it will remain open until 11.59pm on Sunday November 26.

During this period ‘Deals of the Day’ and ‘Lightning’ deals will be offered to shoppers.

While Amazon have yet to reveal what Black Friday 2017 deals they will be offering, looking at last year may give a good indication of what to expect.

During Black Friday last year, Amazon slashed the price of the Echo Smart Speaker from the £149 RRP to £119.

They also offered the same saving on the Kindle Paperwhite, cutting the price from £109.99 to £79.99.

One of the most popular items during the Amazon Black Friday sales last year was FIFA 17, which was reduced to £32.99 for PS4 and Xbox One.

It remains to be seen whether Amazon will offer similar savings for FIFA 18, which is out on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

BLACK FRIDAY 2017 –

Currys has already started to slash prices on some top tech ahead of Black Friday 2017 kicking off.

Instead of the usual £2,499 price, you can pick one up right now for £1,699 – a massive saving of £800.

If you’re looking to upgrade your laptop, you can also save £300 on a Apple MacBook Pro 13 Inch with Retina Display & Touch Bar.

BLACK FRIDAY 2017 –

Tesco is surely set to be one of the most popular destinations on Black Friday 2017.

Ahead of the sales kicking off, Tesco Direct has launched a great deal on one of the must-have gadgets this year – the Nintendo Switch.

The Super Mario Odyssey Switch bundle was recently released, which includes the console, Red Joy-Cons and a digital download code for the game itself.

The bundle has an RRP of £329.99.

At Tesco Direct now, you can pick up that bundle for the same price – but you’ll also get Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle thrown in for FREE.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle would usually cost £44 from Tesco Direct, so you’d be making a great saving with this bundle.

If you’re thinking of picking up a Nintendo Switch around the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, Express.co.uk would advise you to also get a screen protector.

Tempered glass screen protectors are easy to apply and will give plenty of protection from scratches or accidental marks.

If you’re planning on taking your Switch on the go, you should also get a protective case – Nintendo offers different designs which can be bought from retailers like Amazon, Argos and GAME.
