It surrounds the relationship between Italian team Toro Rosso and Renault, who supply their engines.
Toro Rosso released a statement which incensed Renault this week – and they are now exploring the possibility of breaking the contract between the two teams.
If they do, it will leave Toro Rosso with no engine for Brazil and Abu Dhabi.
Toro Rosso has suffered a string of failures in recent races, with both Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley taking grid penalties for Brazil and then hitting further problems right at the start of practice.

“Jerome Stoll, the president of Renault sport, is here furious and Alain Prost is slightly less furious because he’s seen all this before.
“They are seriously considering that there might be a break in the contract. Renault are looking at whether this is so significant they could take the engines away from Toro Rosso
