Chelsea news: PSG to ignore Jose Mourinho and go for Antonio Conte instead

Jose Mourinho has been heavily linked with a move to the French capital in recent months, sparked by his comments in September stating he doesn’t see himself retiring at Old Trafford.

And that has led to speculation his next destination could be PSG with rumours this week suggesting the Manchester United boss has already held talks regarding a possible move.

But the Ligue 1 giants are said to be interested in another Premier League boss to replace Unai Emery at the end of the season.

According to French publication Le Parisian, PSG want Conte to replace Emery.

The former Sevilla boss’ contract expires in 2018 but that will be extended by one more year if he manages to reach the Champions League semi-finals this campaign.

However, PSG have reportedly already made contact with Conte’s representatives should Emery fail to reach his target.

The Chelsea boss signed a new two-year deal at Stamford Bridge which was essentially a pay-rise without extending his contract after winning the Premier League title in his debut season.

But the fact an extension was not agreed upon led to speculation that Conte could soon be out of the door at Chelsea.

He has openly admitted he would one day like to return to Italy with Serie A giants AC Milan tipped as a possible destination.
