BREAKING: Two bombs explode at school in Cannes, France

The explosion occurred at Bristol High School in the city, located in the south of , at around 3pm local time (2pm GMT). 

Police found plastic bottles and reported acidic smells on the second floor of the building. They said it was the result of a home-made bomb. 

One student said: “We were in class and we heard a detonation, we panicked a bit and immediately after that there was a second detonation.

“The teacher immediately locked the door and locked it with a chair. The fire alarm was sounded and we were evacuated.”

No injuries have been reported. 

Terrorism has been ruled out as a motive and officials are blaming a school prank. 

Officials said the bombs were created using a bottle of Coke, hydrochloric acid and aluminium.
