EU plot to teach children to love Brussels in SCHOOLS to keep European project alive

In a report to the European Commission President, Jean Claude Juncker’s special adviser Luc Van den Brande called on Eurocrats to offer children a “European studies curriculum” that will begin “all stages of education, from primary school onwards”.

And in a bid to improve “outreach to citizens” of the EU, he called for the creation of a “Buses4Peace initiative” which will tell youngsters how the bloc brought peace to Europe after the Second World War.

The report suggests children should grow up having had a “Europe-orientated” schooling.

One of the inspirations for submerging the youth in the logic of Brussels was the UK’s decision to leave the bloc, the report claims.

The report said: “The referendum on membership of the EU that was held in the United Kingdom on 23 June 2016 provides an excellent example of how young people today position themselves with respect to the European Union.

“For the older generations, Europe was the point of arrival; for millennials, Europe is the point of departure, since it is all they have ever known.”

Mr Van Den Brande’s report went on to claim the young “tend to be more ‘Euro-critical’ than ‘Eurosceptic’ and are often aware of the advantages of the Union”.

Responding to the report Ukip MEP Ray Finch said: “The EU’s desire to indoctrinate our children into becoming willing servants of the EU state is very worrying indeed.

“That Juncker and co are pushing into schools is a sinister development which parents should oppose with all their might.”

It also calls on Brussels to use celebrities, sports stars and students to a relentlessly push a pro-European message and help repair the bloc’s battered reputation.

A popularity boost could be achieved by introducing a new curriculum across Europe and “mobilising” celebrities and former Erasmus students to extol the virtues of the bloc, the report says.

Their job would be to “explain clearly the cost of a ‘disunited Europe’ and the importance of political stability” with the author saying the “ loss of popularity of the Union… is caused by reduced engagement by the general public that can only partly be explained by an information deficit”.

It comes as the German Army plays out a military scenario involving the break up the of EU as part of a review of possible security issues facing the country in the future.

In a leaked secret report, seen by the German weekly newspaper Der Spiegel, the Bundeswher played out six potential scenarios by mapping how social trends and international conflicts could affect German security in an “increasingly disorderly” world.

The 102-page report called ‘Strategic Forecast 2040’ was published by the Ministry of Defence in February but was kept hidden.

In one of the scenarios, ‘The Collapse of the European Union and Germany in Reactive Mode’, the report describes a world where EU expansion has been dropped as disillusioned countries leave the bloc.

The report states: “The increasingly disorderly, sometimes chaotic and conflictual world has dramatically changed the security policy environment for Germany and Europe.”
