The squad started their tour with a two-day game against a Western Australia XI in which Mark Stoneman and James Vince both impressed with 85 and 82 respectively as the tourists made 349/6 declared on the first day.
In reply, Jimmy Anderson took 4/27 while Craig Overton and Mason Crane both picked up two wickets as WA XI were bowled out for 342.
This time around, England will play four days of cricket in Adelaide with a pink ball and under floodlights as preparation for the second Ashes Test which will be played in similar conditions.
