Star Wars 8 The Last Jedi: ‘Luke’s MISSING green lightsaber proves he’s gone Dark Side’

There’s been many theories surrounding the Jedi master following his brief appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Fans will know that Luke has had two lightsabers in the original trilogy. His first was the blue one owned by his father Anakin Skywalker before becoming Darth Vader. Obi-Wan Kenobi gave it to Luke in Episode IV: A New Hope.

However during Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Vader chops off Luke’s hand, which was holding the lightsaber, and both plunge to the depths.

Then in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, he’s fitted with a robotic hand had takes up a green lightsaber.

However in a startling change of events, his blue lightsaber turns up in Episode VII: The Force Awakens, when Rey comes across it in Maz Kanata’s castle.

Now Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will see the old lightsaber back in Luke’s hands. But where is his green one?

Screen Rant have theorised that Luke’s green lightsaber is missing from the trailers and posters because of his flirtation with or possible turning to the Dark Side.

It’s not even included with the Luke Skywalker action figures that have already been released, while in a Japanese poster he’s wielding the blue lightsaber once again.

After all a Funko figure showed him with what looks like a red kyber crystal hanging around his neck. Could this be the one from Darth Vader’s lightsaber?

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi is released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
