Samsung are busy right now prepping the Galaxy S9, their follow-up to critically lauded and hugely popular Galaxy S8 family of smartphones.
It’s believed that the South Korean tech giant will use the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February 2018 to launch the Galaxy S9 and the S9+.
Both smartphones are tipped to have a dual-curved display, like the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ before them.
The Galaxy S9 is also expected to feature a dual camera set-up, which Samsung first debuted with the Note 8.
But there is one new feature that will give the Galaxy S9 and S9+ an advantage over any other Android smartphone out there.

It’s believed the Samsung Galaxy S9 family of gadgets will be the first to feature Qualcomm’s soon-to-be-announced SnapDragon 845 processor.
The 845 is expected to deliver a performance improvement of up to 25 per cent over the current 835.
Forbes reported that the Galaxy S9 and S9+ could also have the Adreno 630 GPU.
Samsung are believed to have a struck up a deal with Qualcomm which will give the Galaxy S9 a period of exclusivity for the SnapDragon 845 processor.
So, in the first half of the year – the Galaxy S9 will be the only device to feature the 845.
A similar pattern occurred in 2017, where the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus launched with exclusive access to the SnapDragon 835.
This later became the standard chip for flagship Android phones.
So, you can expect later in the year that the SnapDragon 845 processor will be featured in forthcoming offerings from firms like Google and OnePlus.
It’s believed Qualcomm will reveal the SnapDragon 845 next month, which may hint towards some features that will be included in the Galaxy S9.
In other Galaxy S9 news, latest rumours have claimed the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will ditch the 3.5mm headphone port.
Apple will the first to ditch the 3.5mm audio port with the iPhone 7, before Google followed suit with the Pixel 2.
Motorola and HTC have also done the same.
Fans have taken to social media to voice their annoyance about the decision.
One user posted to Twitter: “@Samsung this whole ‘Galaxy S9 has no headphone jack’ thing better be BS.”
“Google Pixel 2: no headphone jack. Xiaomi MI Mix 2: no headphone jack. the LG G6 has one but I pray that the Galaxy S9 won’t follow that trend,” another added.
It’s unclear why the 3.5mm port, which was included in the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8, is now destined for the scrapheap – but Galaxy fans aren’t happy about the latest rumour.
Elsewhere, the Galaxy S9 is tipped to have a 3D depth-sensing front camera to enable facial recognition.
This is similar to the iPhone X, which boasts a high-tech front facing camera which powers Face ID, the system used for unlocking the futuristic gadget.
It is possible Samsung has something very similar planned for the next entry in the Galaxy S range.
This is something Samsung has toyed with before, the Galaxy S8 already boasts a face scanning feature.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ launched in April 2017 priced respectively at £679 and £779.
Seeing how popular the S8 and S8+ were, it’s unlikely the S9 and S9+ will launch at a lower price point.
One boost for fans though is the flagship phones are expected to be released earlier than the S8 and S8+, with a March release date rumoured.
