Galaxy S8 – Samsung launches huge update and here’s to be the first to get it

is already winning plenty of awards for the best smartphone of 2017 and it certainly deserves them.

This flagship smartphone includes a stunning edge-to-edge curved display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and an improved camera which is one of the best in any smartphone.

However, for all of its greatness, there was one thing that owners of the S8 didn’t get and that’s the latest version of Android Oreo.

Now it seems Samsung is readying itself for the launch of this latest operating system.

Galaxy S8 fans can now get access to Android Oreo via Samsung’s beta test version.

This huge update brings a number of new features to the awarding-winning phone including improved Samsung Pay, better battery life and Samsung’s new GIF keyboard.

If you fancy giving Oreo a go on the S8 or S8+ you’ll need to sign up via the Galaxy beta program.

You can do this via the Samsung Members or Samsung+ app in the which are both available on the Play Store and Galaxy Apps.

Your Galaxy S8 must also be unlocked as any phone purchased through a network won’t be give permission to download the update.

It’s also worth noting that this is a beta version which is still being tested.

This means there maybe the glitch or bug which Samsung will working hard to fix before it’s official launch.

It’s usually recommended that users don’t download beta software on the primary device just in case their are any major issues which may stop it working properly.

The Oreo update for the S8 comes as rumours are begining about the .

It’s believed the Samsung Galaxy S9 family of gadgets will be the first to feature Qualcomm’s soon-to-be-announced SnapDragon 845 processor.

The 845 is expected to deliver a performance improvement of up to 25 per cent over the current 835.

Samsung are believed to have a struck up a deal with Qualcomm which will give the Galaxy S9 a period of exclusivity for the SnapDragon 845 processor.

So, in the first half of the year – the Galaxy S9 will be the only device to feature the 845.
