Star Wars 8: Actor DEBUNKS massive Last Jedi theory

There are three main focal points for most of the Star Wars theories.

The origins, motives and fates of Rey, Luke Skywalker and Snoke consume an extraordinary amount of time and effort, closely followed by Leia and Kylo Ren.

But what if another major character was secretly revealed to be a Jedi?

Ever since his first appearance in The Force Awakens, fans have been wondering if the Force will actually, you know, awaken in him or whether his secret love for a certain pilot will ever blossom? Or maybe he is actually Snoke?

Before shooting down one hugely popular theory, John Boyega revealed his favourite Finn fandom highlights at the Savannah Film Festival.

He said: “Oh my gosh. Well, number one would be Finn and Poe! That’s got to be number one. Finn and Poe.

“I’ve heard Finn is Snoke. Rey is going to fall into The Dark Side and kill Finn. [Laughs] And they’re going to fight each other. I’ve heard all sorts of stuff. I really feel there are some that they should use. I like a bit of Dark Side coming from Rey. I don’t know. I like that.”

In a new interview with Digital Spy, the star addressed one of the most persistent rumours.

Finn’s climactic Episode 7 moment wielding the Skywlaker lightsaber was seen as confirmation by some that he was Force sensitive and destined to be a Jedi.

Boyega said: “Would I like to be a Jedi? I think it would be more interesting if they had more than one person be a Jedi – but I think that that is the one of the unspoken laws of Star Wars. They only have one who has to go away and train.”

He seems to be overlooking the entire Jedi academy in the prequel trilogy, no to mention poor Luke’s burning Jedi school glimpsed in Rey’s Forceback vision.

However, Boyega is more interested in seeing Finn take another exciting route.

He added:”I hope it takes an interesting turn; not in terms of being a Jedi, but there are loads more stronger characters in the Star Wars universe that can go up against Jedi and they don’t necessarily have to be a Jedi.Β

“I would like to explore that more; the whole Boba Fett vibe. I would like to explore that for Finn, but who knows?”

STAR WARS THE LAST JEDI IS OUT ON DECEMBER 14
